EPBS Council: Salzburg 2005

Lord Mayor’s reception

On Friday 07 October 17:30 the Lord Mayor invites the EPBS delegates to a reception at the famous Marble Hall of Schloss Mirabell.

The Schloss Mirabell was built by Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau in 1606 as a residence for the love of his life, Salome Alt, who was the mother of his 15 children.

The Marble Hall is often described as the "most beautiful wedding hall of the world" and attracts many people from all over the world to celebrate their weddings in this charming ambience.

It also serves as a setting for conferences, distinctions and musical concerts. Leopold Mozart and his children, Wolfgang and Nannerl, once played music in these chambers.

Jazz & Dine

The Austrian Association has arranged a special dinner at the Mönchsberg Restaurant M32, which is associated with the Museum of Modern Art.

Lito Fontana Trio, a famous international jazz group, with Lito Fontana from Argentine, Eddie Friel from Ireland and Bernhard Lackner from Austria, will entertain you, whilst you enjoy your dinner and the bewitching view over the old city of Salzburg.
