EPBS Council elects Marie Culliton as President
The EPBS has re-elected Marie Culliton as its new President. Marie
has represented Ireland as a delegate to the EPBS and IFBLS for
Ireland since 2001 and served as President of the Academy of Medical
Laboratory Science during 2001-2003.

Martin Nicholson Award
The inaugural Martin Nicholson Award was won by Armando Caseiro from Portugal for his poster on The polymorphism -1C>T in the annexin V Kozak sequence and the risk of myocardial infarction. The Martin Nicholson Award was launched by the EPBS as a tribute to Martin Nicholson’s service and dedication to the EPBS as one of the original founders and its first President from 1999 to 2004.
