One profession: free movement
EPBS President, Marie Culliton examines the evolution of biomedical science across Europe, the EPBS's objectives in finding a common professional platform for free movement across Europe and charts the education and training in the different member nations. She also outlines the challenges for the profession to harmonise standards and scope of practice across Europe.
Lifelong Learning Programme from European Commission
This presentation looks at the education programmes of the European Commission, in particular the objectives, work and networks of the Leonardo and Grundvig programmes.
EPBS Working Group on Point of Care Testing (POCT)
Presentation outlining the working group's analysis of issues regarding the implementation of POCT directives and the certification of POCT instruments. Work continues to work on issues and develop a common policy.
EPBS CPD Working Group
The EPBS's CPFD Working Group was formed to accumulate data, review and forward comments to EPBS General Governing Body (GGB) with a view to developing suitable CPD guidelines. This presentation looks at the findings, summary and feedback from a questionnaire conducted by the working group.

About Martin Nicholson Award
The Martin Nicholson Award was launched by the EPBS as a tribute to Martin Nicholson’s service and dedication to the EPBS as one of the original founders and its first President from 1999 to 2004. Each member is invited to submit a poster representing work undertaken by students during their undergraduate training.
