EPBS Student Forum
During October 2002 EPBS organised and sponsored the first biomedical
scientists Students Forum and I was asked to be the facilitator.
This was a successful meeting and the basis for the Student forum
was established. It was recognised that the students of to day are
the future of our profession.
Since I began my studies, I have become aware that our profession
is still growing in a dynamic and changing scientific field. Therefore,
we must support and listen to our students, to understand their
professional aspirations. We must encourage this desire to gain
knowledge and skills. It is through this development that the Profession
will advance.
EPBS being the established professional representative in Europe
with a clear and strategic view of the future will again organize
a student's forum. One of the objectives will be the exchange of
information relevant to professional developments of students within
Europe.
The expansion of the EU will act as a further challenge to future
co-operation. We hope that this Forum will allow the development
of best educational and training practice for all. The continued
establishment of a common identity of Biomedical Scientist within
European.
